Important Reminders When Cleaning Corner Sofa Beds

Corner sofa beds are very user-friendly. They are designed to be multifunctional but at the same time easy flowing. Just like other sofas and pretty much the rest of your furniture, there is a need to maintain a corner sofa bed. This is not just for aesthetic purposes but also for your safety and health along with that of your family and guests. You don’t have to worry since cleaning corner sofa beds is really easy and hassle-free. Here are some ways to maintain the cleanliness of your corner sofa bed.

Deal with removable cushions first

Most corner sofa beds are made with cushions that are removable. If yours is, take them off and remove dust and other dirt that have penetrated. You may use a vacuum to do so. Sometimes, there are washing machine compatible cushions that you can easily use. It gets tricky though since you might think that the cushions look clean from the outside, but they are filled with dust and dirt inside.

Wash the linen and cloth

All the washable fabric involved in your corner sofa bed must be washed and cleaned regularly. You may also buy extra sets of fabric or covers that you can replace the old ones with while they are being cleaned, so the furniture can still be used.

Clean the covered corners

Since corner sofa beds are placed in the corner of the room, they cover a part of your walls and floor. Move your corner sofa bed and clean the walls and floor that were covered. These parts might affect the cleanliness of your sofa bed. Next, clean the back and the underside of your sofa bed by vacuuming the dust.

Vacuum surfaces and wash stains

Vacuum all the surfaces of your corner sofa bed. If there are stains, do not hesitate to sponge them off. Use a cloth dipped in cold soapy water or other necessary cleaning agents and carefully rub the stain out. Just be careful about using chemicals for cleaning these areas since they might cause bleaching and permanently damage the furniture.

Clean the other sections

Using a damp cloth, clean the non-upholstered parts of your corner sofa bed. This includes the metal or wooden legs and the frames. Remove the dirt and let dry. You don’t have to use chemicals to clean them.

It is very important to maintain the cleanliness of your sofa bed. You use it on a daily basis. Some people use it both night and day. There are instances when you feel like your sofa bed feels itchy even if it looks perfect from the outside. This is a sign that it has to be thoroughly cleaned. You also need to have it checked every now and then for potential damage.
